The Santa Barbara County Park Department maintains more than 900 acres of parks and open spaces, 84 miles of trails and coastal access easements, and the grounds surrounding County buildings.

The Department has personnel staffing of 77.5 providing services to approximately 8.1 million annual visitors. Our team enjoys working in a variety of locations nestled within the scenic beauty and splendor of Santa Barbara County's most breathtaking parks. So come and join the team, you'll be glad you did.

Do you love the outdoors? Would you enjoy helping others as they visit the trails and parks of Santa Barbara County? If so, consider becoming a PARK RANGER. Our rangers provide a wide variety of public services from safety and security, assisting and directing hikers, campers and park visitors within the County's park system, to park landscape and facility maintenance services.

Our MAINTENANCE WORKERS maintain and make improvements to the County Park grounds, facilities and open spaces. Their collaborative construction efforts have provided our younger park visitors with modern playground equipment along with various other park structures. We've got the tools, equipment and materials to get the job done. Now all we need is you.

Is customer service and administrative support your forte? We can use you on our ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TEAM assisting park goers with planning their special events and making reservations at their favorite park sites. Our team also provides a variety of clerical support services from general accounting to human resources. Bilingual skills reflective of communities in Santa Barbara County are advantageous to applicants.
